One of the most pressing issues in national development is balancing development needs with measures to ensure environmental sustainability. Natural resource-based national development that does not address aspects of environmental sustainability will eventually have a negative influence on the environment itself because natural resources and the environment have limited carrying capacity. In other words, development that does not consider the capacity of natural resources and the environment creates new difficulties. In reality, this state becomes a key concern for initiating vital cross-scientific talks to achieve environmental sustainability.
In reality, this condition is a strategic issue that must be addressed through serious cross-scientific talks in order to attain environmental sustainability. Based on the preceding context, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Riau, will organize the 2nd International Symposium on Environmental and Energy Policy (ISEEP-2024) with the theme “sustainable improvement of coastal areas.”
We would like to invite all professors, lecturers, researchers, and students working in the field of environmental and energy policy to the 2nd International Symposium on Environmental and Energy Policy (ISEEP-2024), which will be held on October 24, 2024, in Pekanbaru, Riau. Our symposium will be held in a variety of offline and online formats. In addition, we have agreed that the articles from this international conference will be published online.
The conference is an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, ideas, and experiences on the issue of “sustainable improvement of coastal areas.” The objective of this symposium is to bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from many fields to discuss and share their most recent research discoveries and innovations linked to the symposium’s theme. The event will allow attendees to learn from professionals in their disciplines, create new contacts, and explore potential partnerships. We hope that this symposium will help to build a strong network of researchers, academics, and professionals who are committed to developing conversation spaces in order to create a scientific environment that is not just scientific and academic but also practical. This indicates that diverse problem-solving initiatives can actually be implemented contextually in the community relating to environmental and energy policy.
